Release tension.Restore Movement
We believe recovery should be active, not passive. Soft Tissue Release (STR) is a hands-on technique designed to improve mobility, reduce pain, and help your body function at its best. Unlike traditional massage, STR combines movement with manual pressure to target muscles and connective tissue in a deeper, more intentional way. Whether you're recovering from injury, dealing with chronic tension, or simply feeling out of alignment. STR offers an effective, movement-based solution to help you feel lighter, looser, and more in control of your body.
Release tension. Restore movement. Feel better.
Soft Tissue Release (STR) is a hands-on technique that combines targeted massage with active and assisted stretching to treat muscle and connective tissue. This approach goes beyond passive massage. It’s intentional, interactive, and designed for real results — helping relieve pain, improve flexibility, and support postural and muscular health. Every session is tailored to your body, your lifestyle, and your goals.
Note: STR is performed by a certified kinesiologist and is not covered by massage therapy benefits. It’s a post-degree technique offered to RMTs, kinesiologists, and physiotherapists.

Who It's For
STR is ideal for people who:
- Are recovering from injury or surgery (e.g., whiplash, ACL recovery)
- Have chronic muscle soreness, tension, or limited mobility
- Need focused care on specific pain points (e.g., shoulder, hip, hamstrings)
- Want an active, therapeutic approach to recovery and release
Release what’s holding you back. Rebuild from there.

Frequently Asked Questions
Not quite. STR uses similar techniques but adds active movement and stretch work. It’s more interactive and designed to improve mobility and function — not just promote relaxation.
STR is not covered under Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) benefits. It’s a specialized technique performed by certified kinesiologists and other trained movement professionals.
Some discomfort may occur during deeper pressure or release work, but it should never be sharp or overwhelming. You’ll be guided throughout and encouraged to speak up — this is a collaborative session.
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. Shorts are recommended, and a sports bra if applicable. We want full access to the area being treated while keeping you comfortable and covered.
It depends on your needs. For general tension, full-body imbalances, or chronic pain, 60 minutes is ideal. For more localized issues or injury-specific concerns, 30 minutes is often enough.
If you’ve tried massage, stretching, or rehab on your own and still feel stuck — STR might be the missing link. It’s especially helpful if you’re active, dealing with recurring pain, or simply feel like your body isn’t moving the way it should.
Yes, we offer in-home soft-tissue therapy.
We bring the massage table to you and just need a 7′ x 6′ space to work in. This is a great option if you’re looking for convenience, privacy, or can’t make it into the clinic. Rates vary based on location and setup. Let us know during booking if you’d like to arrange an at-home session.
