What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is the study of human movement. A kinesiologist can help with injury prevention or injury rehabilitation as well as general health and fitness maintenance. Kinesiologists are knowledgeable in anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, exercise prescription, injury and postural assessments, proper exercise technique, return to sport/work programs and so much more! Furthermore, a good kinesiologist will help you navigate the struggles you face when dealing with an injury or limitation. Our kinesiologist, Cassandra Angus is also certified in Soft Tissue Release and holds a Pilates certification.

Kinesiology is for anyone wanting to invest in their long-term health. It can be used as a preventative measure, for maintenance, or for injury rehabilitation. Cassandra is currently accepting ICBC-related clients out of Balance Physio on 1818 W.Broadway, Vancouver (see locations section for more details).

What sets Cassandra apart as a Kinesiologist?

Cassandra’s own personal experience with car accident trauma and injuries is what makes her an empathic and understanding kinesiologist that has experience beyond her schooling. She rehabilitated her mind and body for 8 years and continues to do so, following multiple car accidents.  She has gone through various psychological challenges that come with being restricted in movement for many years. She understands the mental weight an injury can hold. Cassandra has experience researching and trying multiple forms of healing therapies, as she was once seeking which methods best suited her. Cassandra understands that everyone's rehabilitation process will be different, and believes that everyone deserves to get back to what makes them happy.
